Frequently Asked Questions

COVID-19 Related Information

Do I need to wear a mask to my appointment?

We recommend that you wear a mask during your physiotherapy or massage therapy session, but it is not required. Clients will not wear their mask while they are face down on the massage table, but will be given the opportunity to put it back on when they turn face up. We will have disposable and reusable masks available for purchase on site. Click here for more information on proper mask use.

What PPE will my therapist be wearing?

When you see Keeley for physiotherapy, she will be wearing a mask for the duration of your treatment. More information regarding masking during physiotherapy can be found here. Robyn, Cynthia and Aimee will also be wearing masks. More information regarding the clinic standards for massage therapy can be found here.

What other changes can I expect in the clinic?

Here are a few things you will notice: - you will receive a COVID-19 screening email 2 hours before your appointment, which must be completed. If you are feeling unwell, please contact us to cancel your appointment, or make changes online. - our cancellation policy has changed, and you will not be charged a fee if you have to cancel or reschedule your appointment (as long as you give us at least 1 hour notice.) - we ask that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment in order to minimize waiting room traffic - there will be signs at the door asking that you please wash your hands before and after your treatment - your therapist will be wearing the relevant PPE - the schedule has changed slightly to allow more time for additional cleaning between sessions. - we have temporarily removed all sessions shorter than 60 minutes from our online booking site - our payments are now contactless - we direct bill, as well as accepting credit cards or e-Transfers

Should I cancel my treatment if I'm not feeling well?

During these unprecedented circumstances, we ask that you err on the side of caution when it comes to deciding whether or not to cancel an appointment. We have adjusted our late cancellation policy, and will not be charging a fee for any cancellations up to one hour before the scheduled start time of the appointment. We will be happy to reschedule your visit for a time when you are feeling better, to minimize the risk to the therapists and the other clients sharing the space. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Physiotherapy Questions

Do I need a doctor's referral to make an appointment?

No, a doctor's referral is not required before you book a physiotherapy assessment. Some insurance companies require the doctor's referral in order to be eligible for coverage - contact your insurance provider if you are unsure.

Billing Questions

Do you offer direct billing services?

Yes, we offer direct billing to the following benefits providers: - Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) - Alberta Retired Teachers' Association (ARTA) - Blue Cross - Canada Life (formerly Great West Life) - Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance - Cowan - Industrial Alliance - Johnson Inc. - Manulife Financial - Maximum Benefit or Johnston Group - Standard Life - Sun Life Financial

What forms of payment do you take?

Our clinic has contactless payment processing. In addition to direct billing, we accept credit card and e-Transfers. At this time we do not accept debit or cash.

Why do you need my credit card number on file?

Effective June 1, 2020, our online booking system requires an active credit card number on file before any appointments can be booked. At the time of your appointment, you may choose to pay with a different card or by e-Transfer instead. If we are direct billing on your behalf, the card will not be charged unless the claim is denied or only party covered by your benefits. Storing the number on your file is a secure and efficient way to streamline our billing and payment process. In the event of a 'no show' or cancelling within 1 hour of your appointment, a missed appointment fee will be charged to this credit card.

Massage Therapy Questions

Can I get a massage if I'm pregnant?

Yes, your massage therapist is trained in prenatal massage and will adjust your treatment and positioning accordingly. Please make a note when booking your appointment to let us know that you are pregnant, and how far along, so we can make the necessary preparations before you arrive.
