Taking Care of Your Wellness as a Student

Massage therapy can reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, and support your physical health—something every student needs during busy exam seasons and hectic schedules.

If you’re a University of Alberta student, you already have massage therapy coverage through your student health plan. Here's how it works.

Who Is Covered

Automatically Covered Undergraduate Students

  • Enrolled in at least 3 credit hours in the Fall or Winter Term

  • Pay Students’ Union (SU) fees

Automatically Covered Graduate Students

  • Registered full-time (9+ graduate credits) in the Fall or Winter Term, including:

    • On-campus students

    • Off-campus students

    • Eligible international students

  • Students in the Fort McMurray MBA program

Students not automatically covered may still be able to opt in or enroll dependents during the Change-of-Coverage period.

To qualify for our student discount, you must:

  • Be a current University of Alberta student

  • Have no insurance coverage beyond the student health plan, or none at all

  • Not be covered under additional plans (e.g., parent, spouse, or personal extended benefits)

Booking online?

Make sure you select an appointment labeled “Student Discount” only if you meet these criteria. Contact us if you're unsure about eligibility—we’re happy to help.

Direct Billing at Zenith Wellness Co

We offer direct billing for both undergrad and grad students.

To qualify:

  • Submit a doctor’s referral to your benefit provider before your appointment, or
